In the FabFitFun box that I received last month was a Shoptiques giftcard and I finally used it on this "Save The Mermaids" shirt. I had a few things that I was thinking about getting, but I wasn't in love with any of them. Then I was looking for mermaid/ocean decor for my room and went into a searching mermaid frenzy. I eventually came back to the Shoptiques website searched mermaid and wah-la! It actually turned out to be a lot nicer than what was shown in the picture. The grey is darker than it was in the picture and the shirt is super soft, like silky.
I bought new workout pants that are actually reversible, but I like this green galaxy look the best. The reversible side is just the bright green color. They are so fun and the prisms and geometrical shapes add to the cool galaxy theme. When I bought these I also bought the striped jeggings. I have never worn jeggings and let me say they are super figure hugging. I love the stripes, but I haven't worn them yet because I don't have any shirts long enough to wear with them because jeggings/leggings are not pants.
Books
The Program by Suzanne Young
In Sloane’s world, true feelings are forbidden, teen suicide is an epidemic, and the only solution is The Program.
Under constant surveillance at home and at school, Sloane puts on a brave face and keeps her feelings buried as deep as she can. The only person Sloane can be herself with is James. He’s promised to keep them both safe and out of treatment, and Sloane knows their love is strong enough to withstand anything. But despite the promises they made to each other, it’s getting harder to hide the truth. They are both growing weaker. Depression is setting in. And The Program is coming for them.

This book was pretty good and kept me interested the whole time. It does deal with suicide and that was a sad part. It does kind of end in a cliffhanger, so have the second book ready!
Since You've Been Gone by Morgan Matson
On it, thirteen Sloane-inspired tasks that Emily would normally never try. But what if they could bring her best friend back?
Apple picking at night? Okay, easy enough.
Dance until dawn? Sure. Why not?
Kiss a stranger? Um...
Emily now has this unexpected summer, and the help of Frank Porter (totally unexpected), to check things off Sloane's list. Who knows what she’ll find?
Go skinny-dipping? Wait...what?Credit
This was a fun book especially with the list that she has to complete and it turns romantic. So cute! The main character is a runner and the author has made playlists for all of her runs. It's a really fun idea, but I wasn't a fan of any of the music. The author is really into country music.
A friend got me into Wattpad recently and there are actually some pretty good writers on that site. I found a story called "Cupid's Match" where this matchmaking service matches the main girl with the actual Cupid. It was really good.
Music
Lukas Graham's "7 Years" is always on the radio and I do like the song, but I might like it even more now. He was on a morning radio show today talking to the DJs because he's going to be doing a show in town in the next few months. It really says something about a person when you can feel how legit and genuine they are just listening to them through the radio. He seems so nice and cool. He has a light accent which made me fall even more in love. This is the link to the interview. I tried to embed it, but it wasn't showing up. Listening to him made me want to go and like all of his music.
TV
Dancing with the Stars is back! There's not really any stars that I'm into this season though. There are no Alexa or Carlos PenaVega :( I think I might root for Jodie Sweetin just because of Full House, but I have started to like Ginger the meteorologist and the UFC fighter girl. Haha I can't remember their names.
Treat Myself
So I've decided to get myself something instead of buying subscription boxes each month.
This month I went to Ross and found some fun decor for my new mermaid theme room. An octopus, a starfish, and a "Relax" sign covered in shells and on the bottom is sand.
